Conflict between Azusa council, commission gets personal

It is a sad day when the Azusa City Council made a very distasteful move to dismiss the entire Planning Commission on charges that have no firm base for dismissal.
The undercurrent of petty politics has played a big part in formulating this plot.
Planning Commissioner Jorge Rosales has more knowledge about city projects then most of the city councilmen who insist on playing this game. His engineering background provides his ability to sensibly discuss and not criticize the good and the bad about city projects so is this reason for dismissal?
Sandra Rentschler has been charged with conflict of interest for living within 300 feet of the Vulcan Project. I don't know who measured the distance but that is not true. She also has the ability and knowledge to discuss any city project and also has admirably presided at planning commission meetings.
That is why I question those charges made by Azusa City Council and hope that the same tactic does not repeat again in the near future so keep in mind that we the citizens voted you to perform impeccably and in a trustworthy manner.
Congratulations to Mayor Joseph Rocha for standing firm against the city council proposal.
